Hot conditions will persist into early next week. While Heat Advisories are not currently in effect, will need to monitor the need for them over the next few days. Regardless of whether any are issued, heat indices are forecast to reach at least 102-107 through the period, with high temperatures in the lower to mid-90s. Drier air is limiting shower and thunderstorm development this afternoon. However, scattered showers and storms will be possible west of Orlando into this evening. Then, deeper moisture and a less dominant east coast sea breeze will lead to increasing chances Sunday into next week. Storm threats will remain locally gusty winds 35 to 45 mph, cloud-to-ground lightning strikes, and locally heavy rainfall. Winds will become increasingly southerly over the next couple of days. But, will see winds back southeasterly behind the daily sea breeze. Winds increasing to around 10mph behind the sea breeze. No min RH concerns. Fair to generally good dispersion is forecast each day. Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
