This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for eastern North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and this evening.
The primary risk with the strongest thunderstorms will be wind gusts
of 40-60 mph. There will also be a risk of very heavy rainfall rates
and flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

There will be a risk of excessive rainfall each day through early
next week, as a wet and unsettled pattern continues. Flash flooding
could be a concern within heavy downpours.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
