This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters, southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of Mexico. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Thunderstorms: Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. The strongest storms could product gusty winds, frequent lightning and heavy downpours. Heat: A Heat Advisory is in effect for all of South Florida through this weekend. Heat index values of 105-110 degrees can be expected. Rip Currents: A moderate risk for rip currents is in place along the Atlantic beaches. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Scattered thunderstorms will continue to be possible each day this weekend and into next week. The strongest storms could produce gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Heat indices could continue to rise to near or in excess of advisory thresholds Sunday and into the early week.
