393 FNUS54 KMAF 051922 FWFMAF Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX 222 PM CDT Fri Jul 5 2024 .DISCUSSION... Fire risk will be low today and Saturday outside of any storms over western elevated terrain, which could pose a risk of fire starts from lightning and gusty erratic winds over critically dry fuels. Sunday, min RH at or below critical 15% over Sacramento Foothills and Eddy County into Culberson County could present a risk of elevated fire weather conditions. Continued light winds, cooler temperatures, higher min RH, and rain chances will lead to low fire weather conditions Monday into the end of next week. && For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather Service Office.
