Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
221 PM CDT Thu Jul 18 2024

.DISCUSSION...

A relatively wet and cool pattern will continue to keep fire weather
concerns low through the middle of next week with increasing rain
chances and below normal temperatures. RHs remain above critical
levels, winds stay generally light, and we have several
opportunities for rain. Thunderstorms will pose a risk of fire
starts from lightning and will contain gusty, erratic winds.
Warmer and drier conditions return come the middle part of next
week.
