...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM EDT...

Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD...
Chesapeake Bay from Sandy Point to North Beach MD...
Chester River to Queenstown MD...
Eastern Bay...

At 246 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Thomas Point
Light, moving east at 10 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 48 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Boaters could easily be thrown overboard by suddenly higher
         wind and waves capsizing their vessel. Boats could suffer
         significant damage in high winds.

Locations impacted include...
Parsons Island, Kent Narrows Bridge, Magothy River, Chester River,
Eastern Bay, Greenbury Point, Love Point, Naval Academy, Highland
Beach, Sandy Point State Park, Baltimore Light, Severn River,
Romancoke, Bloody Point Light, Matapeake, Chesapeake Bay Bridge,
Thomas Point Light, Shady Side, Mayo, and Annapolis.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
