Southerly winds are locally gusting to around 20 knots tonight on the Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Smith Point. While winds are forecast to generally subside for the second half of the night, a Small Craft Advisory may be needed if the gusty winds become more persistent and widespread. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should exercise caution if navigating the waters during this time and be prepared for locally higher winds and waves. $$
