This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through
central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

A couple of thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and early
evening. These may produce gale-force wind gusts over the waters.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Excessive Heat Watches are in effect for the entire outlook area
from 11 AM to 8 PM Monday and Tuesday.

Hot and humid conditions are possible Wednesday. Heat index
values may be around 105 to 110 degrees.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible each day between Monday and
Wednesday. Given the heat and humidity in place, any day could
pose the threat for a few severe thunderstorms. However, the best
chance for organized severe weather looks to be on Wednesday.

counties in western Maryland, eastern West Virginia, and Highland
County Virginia.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Hot and humid conditions are expected Monday through Wednesday
east of the Alleghenies. Heat index values Monday and Tuesday
afternoons will be around 100 degrees across the lower elevations.
An Excessive Heat Watch is in effect 11 AM to 8 PM Tuesday for
portions of the area.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible each day between Monday and
Wednesday. Given the heat and humidity in place, any day could
pose the threat for a few severe thunderstorms. However, the best
chance for organized severe weather looks to be on Wednesday.
