.DISCUSSION...
Warm temperatures will persist through late this evening at the
Woodland Fire location, and humidities are expected to increase
slightly overnight, with poor recoveries likely. Gusty southwest
winds will decrease and shift to the northwest late in the evening.
Temperatures are expected to rise a few degrees tomorrow, with
minimum humidities lowering to similar values compared to today,
and possibly a little lower in the upper single digits to around 10
percent. Very high mixing heights are forecast for the afternoon
hours, leading to the potential for extreme, plume dominated fire
behavior and rapid growth. Gusty southwest winds will increase
during the mid to late afternoon hours.
