This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
     Level 2 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 70 mph.
     Level 2 of 5 Flash Flooding Risk.
     Level 1 of 5 Large Hail Risk...up to quarter size.
     Level 1 of 5 Tornado Risk.
  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Another round of strong to severe thunderstorms will move across
the area late this afternoon through the evening. Damaging winds
are expected to be the primary severe hazard, though large hail
and tornadoes will also be possible. Torrential downpours may
produce flash flooding.

In addition, heat indices will likely near or exceed 100 degrees
this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Monday...
  Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
  Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
     Level 2 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
     Level 2 of 5 Flash Flooding Risk
Tuesday...
  Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
     Level 1 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk south of Kankakee River.
     Level 1 of 5 Flash Flooding Risk well east of I-57.
Wednesday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk south of Highway 24.

DISCUSSION...

Dangerous heat with heat indices in excess of 105 degrees is
possible on Monday.

Additional waves of thunderstorms are expected Monday PM and Tuesday
with continued threats for severe weather and flash flooding.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

 Spotters will likely be needed late today through this evening.
