FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Southerly winds prevail across the open waters through the beginning
of the week, with gusts climbing into the 15-20 knot range during
each afternoon period. Periods of showers and thunderstorms are
forecast today and tomorrow, with a few strong to severe storms
possible. Gusty winds will be the primary hazard in any severe
storms. 29.5 inch low pressure will develop to the south of the
Hudson Bay during the first part of the week, dragging a cold
front across the open waters Monday night and early Tuesday
morning. Additional showers and storms will accompany the frontal
passage, with strong to severe storms remaining possible.
Northwest winds will become established behind the front by
Tuesday afternoon. Quiet weather conditions are forecast for the
mid to late portions of next week.
