FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Shower and thunderstorm chances enter the forecast late this
afternoon and evening as a cold front crosses the lake. A few
storms could be strong to severe with large hail and gusty winds,
particularly over the southern third of the open waters. South
winds will gust around 20 knots today. A cold front will move
through tonight and winds will turn out of the northwest behind
the front on Tuesday, with gusts between 15-20 knots possible
through sunset.

High pressure of 30.2 will sink into the northern plains on
Wednesday and north winds around 15 knots will prevail. Then it
will shift over the lake on Thursday night bringing lighter winds
and low waves through the end of the week.
