Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... An expanding area of high pressure of 30.3 inches will be centered over the Upper Midwest tonight and Friday, slowly shifting east over Lake Michigan Friday. Northerly winds will be gusty tonight, but lessen considerably during the day Thursday. Light to moderate west to southwest winds are then expected into Saturday. Quiet weather and no rain is expected through Saturday afternoon as well, with a slight chance for showers returning to the northern end of Lake Michigan Saturday evening.
