Open Lake Forecast for Lake Huron
National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI
330 AM EDT Sat Jul 20 2024

For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure centered west to east across Lake Erie
and averaging 30.10 inches will be able to hold a weak cold front
in northern Ontario for today. This front finally does make some
southward progress into northern Lake Huron late tonight into
Sunday morning and then settles into southern portions of the
Lake later Sunday with a few showers possible. The weakness of
the front brings minimal wind and wave impacts throughout the
period before it dissipates in favor of weak high pressure by
Monday.
