472 FZUS61 KCLE 052000 GLFLE Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie National Weather Service Cleveland OH 400 PM EDT Fri Jul 5 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... Low pressure 29.80 inches moves through the central Great Lakes tonight, dragging a cold front across Lake Erie. A weak trough hangs back into the Great Lakes into Saturday behind the departing low. High pressure 30.10 inches builds over the lake Saturday night and persists through Monday. Weak low pressure 29.90 inches moves into the northern Great Lakes Monday night into Tuesday. A warm front will lift across the lake Monday night ahead of this low, followed by a cold front Tuesday afternoon or evening.
