...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN CAMERON...
SOUTHWESTERN CALCASIEU PARISHES IN SOUTHWESTERN LOUISIANA AND
SOUTHEASTERN ORANGE COUNTIES THROUGH 845 AM CDT...

At 818 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Toomey, or 7 miles south of Vinton, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Orange, Bridge City, West Orange, Vinton, Carlyss, Pinehurst, Toomey,
Edgerly, and Hackberry.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 880 and 876.
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 17.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
