...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM EDT
THIS EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...

Light south to southwest winds expected this morning then becomes more
variable in the afternoon. We expect a few showers to pop up from
about noon to 1 PM, and then increasing to likely chances by 3 PM
for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon into the evening hours.
Gusty winds, frequent lightning, and very heavy rainfall will be possible
in and near thunderstorms. Showers and storms should fade and dissipate
near and after 10 PM this evening.

High temperatures around 93-94 degrees coupled with moist dewpoints
will result in heat indices of about 110 this afternoon. Thus a
heat advisory was issued for Marion county.

A near repeat of weather conditions on Friday, though slightly lower
rain chances are forecast.
