...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN FLORENCE...WESTERN
DILLON...EASTERN DARLINGTON AND CENTRAL MARLBORO COUNTIES THROUGH 730
PM EDT...

At 657 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles northwest of Brownsville to near
Sardis. Movement was northeast at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and heavy rainfall.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Heavy rainfall may produce brief
         localized flooding and ponding of water across poorly
         drained areas.

Locations impacted include...
Florence, Bennettsville, Darlington, Timmonsville, Quinby, Clio, Mont
Clare, Mars Bluff, Brownsville, Darlington Raceway, Florence
Darlington Technical College Main Campus, Minturn, Sardis, Effingham,
Oak Grove, Francis Marion University, Bingham, Mechanicsville,
Claussen, and Dunbar.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 20 between mile markers 135 and 141.
 Interstate 95 in South Carolina between mile markers 148 and 185.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
