...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CHASE...NORTHEASTERN BUTLER...
MARION AND NORTHERN GREENWOOD COUNTIES THROUGH 530 PM CDT...

At 505 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Durham to 11 miles southwest of Cottonwood
Falls. Movement was southeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hillsboro, Marion, Cottonwood Falls, Madison, Florence, Hamilton,
Lincolnville, Lehigh, Tampa, Durham, Bazaar, Virgil, Elmdale,
Matfield Green, Cedar Point, Thrall, Marion Lake, Wonsevu, Pilsen,
and Tallgrass Prairie Preserve.

This includes Interstate 35 between Mile Markers 93 and 111.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CDT for
central and east central Kansas.
