...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 2018, very heavy rainfall caused significant flash
flooding across northern Montgomery county.  Between 7
and 9 inches of rain fell in only a few hours.Two
fatalities occurred near Elk City lake when a vehicle was
swept off the road.  In 1995, around 7.5 inches of rain
drenched Western Butler County, however extensive
flooding occurred across all of South Central Kansas.
