.DISCUSSION...
Well above normal temperatures are expected to continue for the
rest of the work week as high pressure aloft resides over California.
Elevated fire risk continues across the region due to poor overnight
recoveries and dry fuels. This weekend, there is a chance for showers
and thunderstorms across the area as high-level moisture arrives
from the south/southeast. This has the potential to elevate fire
risk due to lightning. Additionally, there could be gusty outflow
from these storms. Otherwise, terrain-driven winds are the expected
wind forecast through the next 7 days.
