.DISCUSSION...
An upper ridge over the southwest will provide one more day of
widespread triple digit heat and a moderate HeatRisk across the
San Joaquin Valley. Temperatures are forecast to top out around
4 to 8 degrees above climatological averages for this time of
the year. Satellite loops show some high clouds moving east from
SF Bay across central California ahead of an approaching system
off the coast. This trough will move inland on Monday and lower
temperatures to right around average. The latest probabilities
of exceedance for 100 degrees on Monday drop to only 10 percent
or less across the SJ Valley. Temperatures will remain close to
average through the work week with additional short wave energy
passing over northern California. Cluster analysis is favoring a
closed low forming along or just off the Pacific Northwest coast
by Friday and persisting through next weekend. Temperatures are
forecast to be slightly below average with highs in the lower to
mid 90s across the SJ Valley. Otherwise, conditions will remain
dry with afternoon and evening breezes developing each day but
with some enhanced wind gusts tonight through Monday due to the
approaching trough.

.AVIATION...Areas of MVFR and local IFR visibilities will
