...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN ABBEVILLE AND
GREENWOOD COUNTIES THROUGH 645 PM EDT...

At 610 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 12 miles northwest of Abbeville to 17 miles
northeast of Washington. Movement was northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Greenwood, Abbeville, Ninety Six, Hodges, Troy, Cokesbury, Ninety Six
Historic Site, Lake Greenwood, Promised Land, and Bradley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
