...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EASTERN KIT CARSON COUNTY
THROUGH 345 PM MDT...

At 322 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles north of Bethune, or 9 miles northeast of Stratton, moving
southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Bethune around 325 PM MDT.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 423 and 439.
 Highway 385 between mile markers 177 and 190.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Goodland.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
east central Colorado.
