EAST CENTRAL COLORADO...SOUTHWESTERN YUMA COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN
COLORADO AND KIT CARSON COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL COLORADO THROUGH 745
PM MDT...

At 714 PM MDT, the public reported strong thunderstorms along a line
extending from 13 miles east of Cope to 13 miles southeast of Flagler
to 4 miles northwest of Karval. Movement was southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Mesonet. A weather station 17 miles north of Flagler
         reported a 53 mph wind gust at 6:57pm MT.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Vona around 720 PM MDT.
  Stratton around 725 PM MDT.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 391 and 429.
 Highway 385 between mile markers 196 and 206, and near mile marker
211.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Goodland.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
northeastern and east central Colorado.
