This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska and
northwest Kansas.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

A Heat Advisory will go into effect for northwest Kansas and extreme
southwest Nebraska from 9 AM MDT (10 AM CDT) to 8 PM MDT (9 PM CDT)
today.

Strong to severe thunderstorms with wind gusts of 60 to 70 mph are
currently forecasted this afternoon and into the overnight hours.
Portions of Dundy County, Nebraska and Cheyenne County, Kansas look
to be in the relative greatest potential for severe weather. Localized blowing dust with
visibilities down to a few miles is also possible this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...

Strong to severe thunderstorms are again possible Tuesday with an
area wide Slight Risk and Wednesday with a Marginal Risk for those
west of a Trenton to Colby to Leoti line. Damaging winds are the
primary hazard both days with large hail and heavy rainfall also a
concern primarily for Tuesday.

currently forecasted this afternoon and into the evening. Portions
of Yuma and Kit Carson counties look to be in the relative greatest
potential for severe weather. Localized blowing dust with
visibilities down to a few miles is also possible this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...

Strong to severe thunderstorms are again possible Tuesday with Slight
Risk and Wednesday with a Marginal Risk. Damaging winds are the
primary hazard both days with large hail and heavy rainfall also a
concern primarily for Tuesday.
