977 WGUS85 KGJT 162132 FLSGJT Flood Advisory National Weather Service Grand Junction CO 332 PM MDT Tue Jul 16 2024 COC077-162330- /O.NEW.KGJT.FA.Y.0036.240716T2132Z-240716T2330Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Mesa CO- 332 PM MDT Tue Jul 16 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of west central Colorado, including the following county, Mesa. * WHEN...Until 530 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 332 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Harrison Creek, Buzzard Creek, Middleton Creek, East Hawxhurst Creek, Brush Creek, Plateau Creek and Groundhog Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are expected over the area.
