...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest Colorado, including the following
  county, Moffat.

* WHEN...Until 315 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Flash flooding and/or minor flooding in low-lying and
  poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams, tributaries and
  normally dry arroyos that feed into the Yampa River are expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 222 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in Dinosaur National Monument, along the Yampa River.
    Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.

    Steep canyons within Dinosaur National Monument in West
    Central Moffat County

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
