...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Widespread heat index of 100 to 105 degrees, with some
  areas mainly south and east of the Nebraska Tri Cities up to
  around 110.

* WHERE...Portions of north central Kansas and central, east
  central, and south central Nebraska.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Although Tuesday will again be somewhat hot,
  especially in north central kansas, today marks the last day of
  widespread, excessive heat that the area will see for many days.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
