Dangerous heat will persist this afternoon, with peak heat index values between 105 and 109 across much of North and Central Texas. A few storms may cross the Red River and enter North Texas this evening. The activity may reach areas as far south as the I-20 corridor overnight. Lightning will be the primary hazard, but the stronger storms may contain gusty winds. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. An unsettled pattern will maintain daily thunderstorm chances Friday through Wednesday. Although the severe weather threat is low, a few strong storms will be possible with gusty winds and frequent lightning the primary hazards. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
