Early morning thunderstorms will bring risks of lightning and small hail to the area. Greater thunderstorm chances arrive by early afternoon and continue into the evening. A strong to severe storm may be possible with the primary risks of half dollar size hail and 60 mph winds. While widespread severe weather is not expected, an isolated storm could produce small hail and gusty winds. Additionally, slow moving thunderstorms could produced very localized areas of heavy rain of 1 to 2 inches by Saturday morning. The recent dry spell of weather is expected to prevent any widespread flooding.
