134 FNUS52 KFFC 151843 FWFFFC Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia National Weather Service Peachtree City GA 243 PM EDT Mon Jul 15 2024 .DISCUSSION... No hazardous fire weather conditions expected today or tomorrow. Scattered thunderstorms will continue across central Georgia this afternoon and evening with some isolated storms possible across north Georgia. This trend will continue into tomorrow with scattered thunderstorms possible across both north and central Georgia. Winds from the SW have brought plenty of moisture back to the area. These winds will be 5-10 mph during the afternoon today and tomorrow, going lighter overnight. Transport winds will be similarly from the SW at 8-15 mph. Tomorrow, mixing heights of 4-6 kft combined with the relatively lighter transport winds will make for mediocre vent rates and keep ADI values in 30-70 range, dependent on location. Min RH values will only dip into the upper 30s and 40s thanks to aforementioned moisture transport from the gulf. Cloud cover will be heaviest in the afternoon hours as cumulus and eventual thunderstorms form.
