Above average temperatures and elevated heat index values will continue through this weekend. Minimum humidity levels will range from the 20s west to 40s and 50s east through Sunday. A surface boundary could bring some showers and thunderstorms to northern parts of the area this afternoon through Saturday. The arrival of tropical moisture in association with Beryl on Monday through much of next week will keep minimum humidity levels above 40 percent area wide. In addition, chances of wetting rains increase. While it still remains too early for rainfall amounts, this rain could be heavy and beneficial at times. Below normal temperatures can be expected due to the clouds and rain.
