...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, and west central
  Missouri, including the following counties, in central Missouri,
  Cooper, Howard, Pettis and Saline. In north central Missouri,
  Chariton. In west central Missouri, Johnson and Lafayette.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 730 AM CDT, the transportation department reported several
    closed roads in the warned area. Additional closures are
    expected this morning. Flooding is ongoing or expected to
    begin shortly. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected during the morning hours.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Marshall, Boonville, Odessa, Higginsville, Fayette,
    Concordia, Slater, Sweet Springs, Glasgow, New Franklin,
    Pilot Grove, Corder, Alma, Armstrong, Malta Bend, Blackburn,
    Houstonia, Mayview, Lake Lafayette and Emma.
  - This includes Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers
    32 and 114.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
