At 835 PM CDT, a severe squall line capable of producing both tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage was located along a line extending from Coal Hollow to near Lone Tree Corners, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include... Hennepin, Spring Valley, DePue, Granville, Ladd, Dalzell, Bureau Junction, Putnam, Mark, Seatonville, McNabb, Magnolia and Standard. This includes the following highways... Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 42 and 62, and between mile markers 66 and 72. Interstate 180 between mile markers 1 and 13. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows.
