...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN BENTON AND
SOUTHEASTERN DELAWARE COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning hasmoved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
east central Iowa.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHERN JACKSON...NORTHERN CEDAR...NORTHEASTERN JOHNSON...
SOUTHEASTERN JONES...SOUTHERN LINN AND WESTERN CLINTON COUNTIES...

At 650 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Onslow to near Sutliff, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
         shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
         considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
         Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

Locations impacted include...
Cedar Rapids, Maquoketa, Tipton, Mechanicsville, Stanwood, Mount
Vernon, Lisbon, Fairfax, Ely, Preston, Lowden, Wheatland, Olin, Grand
Mound, Delmar, Wyoming, Oxford Junction, Lost Nation, Calamus, and
Andrew.

This includes Interstate 380 between mile markers 13 and 17.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
