...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM CDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN ROCK ISLAND...WHITESIDE...NORTHEASTERN HENRY...
SOUTHEASTERN CARROLL...NORTHWESTERN BUREAU...SOUTHEASTERN JACKSON...
NORTHEASTERN SCOTT AND EASTERN CLINTON COUNTIES...

At 744 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Franklin Corners to Barstow, moving southeast at 40
mph.

HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
         shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
         considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
         Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

Locations impacted include...
Clinton, Sterling, Rock Falls, Morrison, Eldridge, DeWitt, Camanche,
Le Claire, Fulton, Savanna, Prophetstown, Port Byron, Erie, Garden
Plain, Milledgeville, Fairhaven, Albany, Princeton, Long Grove, and
Tampico.

This includes Interstate 88 between mile markers 9 and 44.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for north central
and northwestern Illinois...and east central Iowa.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
