The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Rock Island County in northwestern Illinois...
  Northeastern Scott County in east central Iowa...
  Southern Clinton County in east central Iowa...

* Until 815 PM CDT.

* At 723 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Grand Mound,
  or 17 miles south of Maquoketa, moving east at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Clinton, DeWitt, Camanche, Princeton, Cordova, Grand Mound,
  Calamus, McCausland, Low Moor, Malone, Rock Creek Marina and
  Campground, Folletts, Elvira, Princeton Wildlife Area, Rock Creek
  Park, Clinton Municipal Airport, Clinton County Fairgrounds, Scott
  County Park, and Park View.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.
