...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of western Henry,
northeastern Van Buren and southeastern Jefferson Counties through
915 PM CDT...

At 834 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Stockport, or 9 miles southeast of Fairfield, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could cause minor tree limb damage and blow
         around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects
         is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Mount Pleasant, Birmingham, Salem, Stockport, Lockridge, Hillsboro,
Rome, Westwood, Henry County Fairgrounds, Oakland Mills, Oakland
Mills Park, Mount Pleasant Municipal Arpt, Glasgow, Morris Park,
Water Works Park, Round Prairie Park, Swedesburg, and Trenton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to localized flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Stay away from
flooded areas. Report any flooding to local law enforcement.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
southeastern Iowa.
