This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Thunderstorms continue over eastern Iowa this evening. A few
stronger gusts and small hail are possible with the storms,
however the severe threat diminishes into the evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

A Heat Advisory is in effect along and south of Interstate 80
Monday afternoon to evening. Please refer to the National Weather
Service website at weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

Strong to severe storms are expected Monday with an increasing
potential for damaging wind gusts in excess of 70+ mph possible,
though hail, heavy rain and a few tornadoes are also possible.

Spotters may be needed Monday.

Thunderstorms continue over eastern Iowa this evening. A few
stronger gusts and small hail are possible with the storms,
however the severe threat diminishes into the evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

The heat wave will continue into Monday with maximum heat index
values near 100 degrees in the afternoon and evening.

Strong to severe storms are expected Monday with an increasing
potential for damaging wind gusts in excess of 70+ mph possible,
though hail, heavy rain and a few tornadoes are also possible.
