...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN CASS COUNTY THROUGH
1115 PM CDT...

At 1047 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Laporte, or 13 miles north of Walker, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Walker, Federal Dam, Leech Lake, and Wilkinson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
north central Minnesota.
