Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
157 AM MDT Sat Jul 6 2024

RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather conditions are expected for areas west of the Laramie
Range. Here, minimum RHs below 15 percent and wind gusts up to 35
MPH are expected Saturday afternoon. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms are expected late Saturday afternoon and into the
overnight hours. A cold front moving across the area will bring
cooler temperatures and higher humidities on Sunday, thus limiting
fire weather concerns. However, a gradual warming and drying trend
next week could lead to elevated fire weather concerns.
