.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1240 AM CDT Fri Jul 11 2025

Deep moisture dropped off a bit today, falling back to near normal
levels. This combined with some meager Saharan dust into the area
kept us mainly dry. The Dust is expected to lift out of the region
tomorrow and we`ll have a slight rebound in moisture levels into the
region. We`ll also have some energy from a weak mid-level
disturbance pushing into the region. This could all lead to some
isolated convection, but not expecting too much coverage. Have low
(~15-20%) PoPs in the inland Coastal Plains and Victoria Crossroads
associated with the sea breeze. By Saturday, slightly higher
moisture will lead to a minor increase in PoPs. While the sea breeze
will maintain mainly around 20%, the Victoria Crossroads is closer to
the elongated mid-level energy and will hang onto 20-40% there.
Similar PoPs Sunday, leaning a little more on the guidance here, but
definitely some question as it seems the mid-level disturbance will
be exiting, and PWATs are decreasing. Would not be surprised to
see Sunday PoPs decrease as it gets closer (still only mainly the
Crossroads to begin with).

Beyond Monday, any lingering mid-level energy will be moving out and
generally drier deep layer air is expected to be in place. This
should limit rain chances for much of the week. Have nothing
mentionable

Temperatures will be on a very slow incline over the next 7 days,
but not getting out of hand, only topping out a few degrees above
normal west (100-103) by mid-week, and remaining in the 90s east.
Heat index values remain pretty seasonal, between 100 and 110.
