.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1111 AM CDT Mon Jul 7 2025

Rain chances will remain low today through Tuesday as an inverted
trough moves over the Texas Coast. PWAT values will also begin to
diminish, with values dropping from nearly 1.9" Sunday night to
1.5" by the middle of the week. This will cause rain chances to
significantly reduce throughout the week and into the weekend.

Temperatures will remain high throughout the week, ranging from
low 90s along the coast to near 100 across the Brush Country.
High levels of humidity will continue as well, leading to moderate
to occasionally high heat risk each day this week, with heat index
values ranging from 100-110.

Incoming Saharan dust will likely lead to hazy conditions and the
potential air quality issues from Wednesday through Friday.
Please visit TCEQ for air quality conditions and follow their
recommendations.

Have included VCTS for COT once again this evening as more pop-up
storms are occurring and expected to traverse from southeast to
northwest until around sunset. Current VFR conditions across the
region expected to become MVFR at VCT and have maintained LIFR
CIGs for ALI early Tuesday morning even-though probabilities are
low <10% but have decided to stay with persistence. Can expect
generally south to southeasterly winds through the TAF period although
VCT may have some variable light winds overnight.
