Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 104 mph Path Length /statute/: 3.32 miles Path Width /maximum/: 150 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 08/06/2024 Start Time: 04:20 PM EDT Start Location: 2 SSE Brecksville / Summit County / OH Start Lat/Lon: 41.2767 / -81.6146 End Date: 08/06/2024 End Time: 04:25 PM EDT End Location: 1 NNW Peninsula / Summit County / OH End Lat/Lon: 41.2559 / -81.5571 Survey Summary: The tornado began at a commercial warehouse along Columbia Road in Richfield, where the east end of the roof was removed. Eleven empty semi truck trailers were blown-over in the same general location. As the tornado continued moving southeastward, intermittent tree and power pole damage was noted along Columbia Road. Trees were downed or snapped in different directions. This tornado ended on the north side of the I-80 Cuyahoga Valley Bridge, just west of Riverview Road in Boston, where additional snapped trees were found. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the event and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$
