...THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING NEAR THE SANTEE-COOPER LAKES...

Scattered showers and thunderstorm will continue to develop near
Lake Moultrie and the eastern portions of Lake Marion through the
remainder of the afternoon hours. Boaters should be prepared for
gusty winds, cloud to water lightning and locally heavy rainfall
reducing visibilities to less than 1 NM at times with any showers
and thunderstorms that occur.

Boaters on Lake Moultrie and the eastern portions of Lake Marion
should monitor conditions closely be prepared to see safe harbor
quickly if threatening weather approaches. If caught on the open
water, stay as low as possible and wear a personal flotation device.
Remember, if you can hear thunder you are at risk for being struck by
lightning.
