...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN HANCOCK...
SOUTHEASTERN PISCATAQUIS AND SOUTHWESTERN PENOBSCOT COUNTIES THROUGH
645 PM EDT...

At 553 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Lake View Plantation to Kenduskeag to near
Waterville. Movement was southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Lincoln, Bangor, Old Town, Ellsworth, Bucksport, Newport, Howland,
Orono, Brewer, Hampden, Hermon, Corinth, Milo, Veazie, Dedham,
Castine, Kenduskeag, Verona Island, Penobscot Township, and Indian
Island.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 95 between mile markers 159 and 232.
 US Highway 1 near Orland.
 State Highway 11 between East Corinth and Bradford.
 State Highway 9 between Dixmont and Clifton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
