...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL WAYNE COUNTY THROUGH 500
PM EDT...

At 432 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Marion, or 16 miles east of Webster, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Newark, Marion, Lyons, Clyde, Sodus, Chimney Bluffs State Park, Rose,
Huron, Wolcott, Sodus Point, Fairville, North Rose, Alton, South
Butler, and Port Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for western New
York.
