...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
  Lake Ontario from near Sunset Beach to near Braddock Bay...

At 1130 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located 12 nm north of Hamlin Beach, moving northeast
at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and large
         destructive hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural
         damage in high winds and hail. Small craft could capsize in
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Hamlin Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, large destructive hail, high waves,
dangerous lightning, and heavy rain are possible with this storm.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
