...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN HIDALGO...WEST
CENTRAL CAMERON AND SOUTHWESTERN WILLACY COUNTIES THROUGH 445 PM
CDT...

At 411 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Lasara Elementary School, or over Lasara, moving south at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Harlingen, Weslaco, Donna, Mercedes, La Feria, Elsa, Edcouch, Santa
Rosa, Lyford, and La Villa.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate Highway 69 E near mile marker 38.
 US Highway 281 near mile marker 812.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
